About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate and people-focused Hostel Manager to lead our Bay of Island property. This is your chance to run your own slice of paradise — managing daily operations, leading a dynamic team, and ensuring every guest leaves with a smile and a story.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Overseeing daily hostel operations: check-ins, guest services, cleanliness, and vibe ✨
• Leading, training, and inspiring a team of awesome staff 🤝
• Managing bookings, guest inquiries, and reservations 💻
• Keeping things running smoothly with inventory and supply management 📦
• Handling finances, cash-ups, and reporting 💰
• Creating a welcoming, inclusive, and culturally rich environment for all guests 🌏
• Promoting the hostel and collaborating with the wider Haka House whānau

What You’ll Bring

• Proven hospitality management experience (hostel experience = bonus!)
• Top-notch customer service and communication skills
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities
• Confidence with booking systems and financial processes
• A passion for people, travel, and creating memorable guest experiences
