Haka House is one of New Zealand's most loved and awarded hostel brands, and we are looking for an IT Support person who is as comfortable solving a network issue in Auckland as they are jumping in a car and heading to a hostel in Queenstown to sort things out on the ground.

This is not a role where you sit and wait for tickets to come in. You will be travelling approximately 40% of the time across Aotearoa, getting to know our properties and our people, and being the person everyone is relieved to see walk through the door.

🌟 What We Are Looking For

We are after someone who:

  • Is early in their career and genuinely hungry to learn and grow
  • Is autonomous, self-driven, and does not need to be micromanaged
  • Can explain technical concepts to non-technical people and make them feel good about it
  • Is a natural relationship builder who enjoys working with a wide range of people
  • Has a can-do attitude and is happy to go beyond the job description when needed
  • Holds a full NZ drivers licence (this one is non-negotiable)
  • Has a qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (certifications like CompTIA A+ are a bonus)

💥 What You Will Be Doing

  • Being the go-to technology point of reference for all Haka employees across the network
  • Providing first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues, fast
  • Performing routine maintenance, updates, and managing user accounts
  • Logging and managing support requests with a target resolution time under 24 hours
  • Travelling to properties across New Zealand and getting stuck into one-off projects as they come up
